Strength.

Endurance.

Willpower.

Blue shorts.

All were on display as the Rochester Track Invitational culminated with faces of exasperated victory for some and heartbreak for others. Kings were crowned while others frowned across the track and grassy field.

Porta High School athletes found themselves in the middle of all of it, becoming satisfied in some events and upset in others as the team placed third on the day.

But regardless of the outcome, the young athletes pushed themselves to their physical and emotional limits and walked away from the track with a renewed sense of accomplishment.
